Invitation for a Foreigner
An invitation for a foreigner is a document confirming that the inviting party provides financial means for the stay in Poland, including accommodation, food, and return travel costs. Although it is not mandatory when crossing the border, it may be helpful when applying for a visa or during border control.
Invitations may be issued by Polish citizens residing in Poland, foreigners holding permanent residence, EU long-term resident status, or at least five years of legal stay. The document may also be issued by EU/EFTA/Swiss citizens with the right of residence in Poland, as well as by legal entities and organizational units based in Poland.
